We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join Hala Builder in Dubai. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing design and construction projects, including new builds, renovations, and improvements to real property facilities and utility systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring that all projects meet both technical and safety standards while adhering to timelines and budgets.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Perform design work for new construction, renovations, and improvements of real property facilities and utility systems.
- Interpret and adapt traditional engineering methods to develop calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications in line with project objectives.
- Provide civil design services, including preparation of civil/site work drawings, structural evaluations, and designs for water, sewer, and stormwater systems.
- Follow and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for design reviews and project mobilization as required.
- Manage and evaluate the design work performed by others to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations, enhancing workplace safety.
- Perform construction management tasks, such as reviewing construction documents, performing daily inspections, and managing project punch lists.
- Carry out other duties as required to support project objectives.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of civil/structural design and engineering techniques.
- Proficient in creating designs that can be executed by local contractors while meeting all project specifications.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of providing comprehensive design services, including structural load determination and planning.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project, and AutoCAD.
Experience & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (licensed civil engineer preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of design experience, with the ability to prepare civil/site work drawings, structural evaluations, and water/sewer designs.
- At least 2 years of project management experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2012 or later versions for creating accurate facility and infrastructure plans.
- Familiarity with military programming rules and documentation is a plus.
