We are seeking a dedicated Accountant – Receivable to join Hala Builder in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely collections, accurate reconciliation, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. This role is essential in keeping our financial operations running smoothly while adhering to company policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collections: Follow up with clients on outstanding payments through calls, emails, and other communication channels. Collaborate with the sales team to resolve payment issues.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of customer accounts, ensuring accurate application of payments and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Invoicing and Billing: Assist with invoicing and ensure billing discrepancies are identified and resolved efficiently.
- Outstanding Invoices and Delinquent Accounts Management: Manage and resolve outstanding invoices and delinquent accounts. Negotiate payment terms with clients, in line with company practices.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly accounts receivable reports, providing analysis on aging, outstanding balances, and collection efforts.
- Customer Relationship Management: Maintain positive relationships with customers by offering excellent service and addressing any billing or payment concerns.
- Compliance: Ensure that all accounts receivable activities comply with company policies, local laws, and accounting standards.
- Audit and Analyze Aging Reports: Audit aging reports, track collection efforts, and identify trends. Initiate outside collection strategies for unresolved delinquent accounts if necessary.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in the accounts receivable function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an accounts receivable role, preferably in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in Arabic.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations is a plus.
